ok, if i'm correct this should still work with your transistors on ack and miso lines... I've only tested without transistors on a micro, with the playstation 3.3v line to arduino 5v pin, in the PS1 bios menu.
I've also updated the readme accordingly as the setup is slightly more complicated than before
