You can adjust the video quality (compression level), framerate, and audio bitrate using patches, although their availability is limited to a handful of versions.
In a future update, spice2x will let you adjust the video quality in the options. Framerate and audio bitrate will still need to be done via patches.
Make sure your server allows for these modifications.
