+# Bemani Game Error Codes
+
+This document collects the various error codes that are know across the many games including some
+information what can be done.
+
+This information is not part of bemanitools but useful to many users using it to run the games. We
+saw users encountering these errors not knowing what they mean. Therefore, we include these errors
+in the repository to provide an accessible source of information regarding them.
+
+Important: The error codes are not consistent throughout the many years of game series and versions.
+
+It is adviced to read the error information carefully (use Google Translate App with your phone's
+camera) and check the following sections. It would be great to get feedback if you see information
+missing or specific games and versions not matching to increase the value of the list.
+

+This error occurs when the game does not receive a heartbeat from the IO board. On legitimate
+hardware, this error is usually caused by the IO board resetting during play. The issue is rarely
+fixed by simply restarting the game and will require a full power cycle.
+
